MyHokeyPokey is a Lebanese brand founded by two passionate mothers who understand the joys and challenges of motherhood.
Conception Phase
The struggles of being a new mother were real, so discovering baby wearing was a revelation to both of us. Freeing our hands allowed us to accomplish so much more during the day while having our – now calm – babies right there with us wherever we roamed. And while we believed in the nutritious, immunizing qualities of a mother’s milk, breastfeeding also proved to be another challenge and was often inconvenient when surrounded by family or friends especially with demand feeding in newborns. We came to truly understand the value that baby wraps, nursing blankets, swaddles and other baby care products could offer, but we also knew that they were not readily accessible in the local market.
The Birth
We became lactivists and baby wrap advocates long before we thought of turning slings and breast-feeding covers into a business. When we did launch My Hokey Pokey, it was with nothing but a piece of fabric and a pocket full of dreams. Today, we are unlocking the powers of motherhood one liberating baby product at a time.
